In May 2007, Western Water was acknowledged as the Australian leader in water recycling.

The first National Performance Report for urban water utilities, released by the National Water Commission, highlights Western Water as having the highest rate of recycled water of any major urban utility in the country.

Proud to be leading Australia in this most important area, our goal is to ultimately achieve 100 per cent recycling of all water, continuing to work with our community towards a sustainable future.
