Western Waters' goal is to achieve 100 per cent recycling of all water over time as we continue to work with our community towards a sustainable future. During 2008/2009 we successfully recycled 88% of all our water, reinforcing the concept that there is no such thing as "waste water".2000 ML of precious drinking water was saved during 2008/09 through the substitution of recycled water. Our Recycled Water Plants service Melton, Sunbury, Gisborne, Woodend, Bacchus Marsh, Riddells Creek and Romsey through various methods of supply including farm leases, pipelines and standpipes. |
