Recycled Water - Building Liveable Sustainable Communities
The Melton South Regional Class A Scheme currently supplies Class A recycled water to residents of the new township of Eynesbury via a piped supply called dual reticulation.
The project is set to be the first of many for the region. The supply of Class A recycled water will significanlty reduce the pressures placed on valuable drinking water and energy resources as it will also be powered by 100% renewable energy from our own biogas cogeneration facility.
The Benefits of the project are anticipated to include:
Up to 50% reduction in drinking water for new developments.
Greater than 50% saving in carbon emmissions.
To date over 500 million litres of drinking water has been saved through the use of recycled water at Eynesbury.
